The book Help Your Dog Fight Cancer by Laurie
Kaplan has been a life line for my dog Simba and our family.
Bullet's
journey has been a inspiration for us. Laurie supplied a
wealth of
knowledge from experience ranging from diet to chemotherapy
treatments and
protocols. Simba has experienced periods of lethargy coupled with
episodes of
zero appetite, and Simba's hair began to fall out. It was one
crisis after
an other. For a while I thought there was no hope, then I would
pick up
the book just to see the words "Don't Panic." This book helped me see
the light at the end of the tunnel.
Thank you for your help and for giving us hope!
My
little
old pug, Winnie, was diagnosed with
malignant melanoma in her mouth. I purchased
Laurie's book
"Help Your Dog Fight Cancer, "
out of sheer desperation.
My little Winnie will
celebrate a year since her diagnosis this
September! Laurie, I thank you for this book. Without it I don't know
where we would be and if I would even have my Winnie at this point.
Thank
you, Thank you, Thank you, from me and from Winnie.

Thank
you for your book. Its helped me through some very difficult times and
given me ideas, strength, and wisdom about canine cancer.
My
Sheltie, Roxy, has been thru many
months of chemo. Even though the
costs have been devastating, I would do it all over again. We have been
blessed with an additional year of love from Roxy.
Every day,
I whisper in Roxys ear “not today, not without
a fight.”
Thank you for writing
this book! Marcy

Thank
you so much
for everything you have done for me and Angel. Without you and your
book, I do not know what I would have done. My
favorite part of the book and most helpful for me is Chapter 6, Side
Effects. Without this section I would probably blow up the vet's phone
24/7, but now, your book has helped me understand so much about Canine
Cancer. I catch myself picking it up all the time and rereading
sections just because I find them so interesting. The entire book is
FANTASTIC. Thank you so much.

Your
book
made a
huge
difference to us. Thank you so much for spending
the time to write such a thorough book. You'll never know how helpful
it was for me to have an active part in fighting Gilligan's cancer.
You
are
a
wonderful person to make that effort and try to make a difference for
people like me who felt hopeless in the face of a terrible disease.
Gilligan also sends a belated thanks... without your book, he wouldn't
have started eating ground beef, shredded chicken, and veggies at EVERY
meal! He loved his new diet his last few months.

I
read
your
book the first week of Duncan's
diagnosis and I was totally blown away and felt armed. It was my first
life preserver - I felt I was sinking to great depths no matter how
fast I swam. Thank you thank you so much.
I
shared
your book with the vets in Duncan's cancer team, as something
they should all have available for their patients. I went thru your
book page by page with both of them. I
am
so
thankful for your book... it is an absolute Godsend.

Thank
you for
writing
such
an incredible resource for those of us who are owned by pets with
cancer. My own Mango was diagnosed with lymphoma Friday, and I searched
desperately for information to help me extend
his life.
Your
book is a bible
of
information that I rely upon time and time again. I have certain pages
marked that I read over and over... Thank you so much for
your help
and
for taking the time to put together the information in "Help Your
Dog Fight Cancer."

Laurie,
your book
was
delivered to my house yesterday and I read it last night (absorbed the
minute I opened it) - thank you so much for bestowing your wisdom and
experience on so many of us who are struggling to make informed, good
decisions in treating a pet with cancer.
I
found your book
to be very insightful. It's such a huge gift you've given
on so many levels!

My
dog
was diagnosed with lymphoma this past November. It is only because of
your book that I have had any idea how to treat him. I don't know what
I would have done without it.
Your
book guided me through something I could never have imagined I
would be going through. Without it, I would have been lost.Your book is
truly
what got me through the whole experience. Your book has been a
life saver, and I thank you for writing it.

I
want
to
personally thank you so much for your book. I
feel so much better prepared to deal with this disease.
And
now my new motto is yours, Not
Today and Not Without a
Fight!
I
wanted to share that with you and let you
know I appreciate you and your sharing Bullet's story, as well as the
wealth of information that you have. Thank you!

I
can't tell you enough how your book has brought me such rock solid
information, direction and comfort.
Bullet's

Dear
Laurie,
Until I got
your book, I really didn't know if I was going to make it. It was as if
you were watching over me
writing the book as I was going on with my struggles - knowing what was
making me feel terrible, and knowing what every one of my worries would
be. Until I read your book I felt so alone - your book made me feel
that everything I was feeling was normal. Thanks to you, I got to see
my 5 year old cancer dog be a puppy again!
I want you to know that you've made a
difference in my life and of course Manta's. I really can't imagine
where we would have been without your help and the hope that you
provided for us.

I
wanted to let you know how helpful your book is, as a tool for
empowerment and as a reference guide.
It
has been about two years
since I first emailed
to thank you for the wonderful information in your
book. I am delighted to report that Nell is
doing great and continues to enjoy life. Nell remains on Bullet's
Cancer Diet and is thriving with lots of energy, a
beautiful coat and to my delight she is cancer free at this time.
I
credit you and
your book Laurie, for helping me feel like there was something
constructive that I could do to participate in Nell's health care after
her diagnosis.
I
will
always be grateful to you and Bullet. Thank
you again for
allowing your experience
with Bullet to
touch so many!

Dear
Nancy [reader's friend],
When
you gave me Laurie Kaplan's book, "Help Your Dog Fight
Cancer," I was still trying to deal with Kerrie's diagnosis. Now,
almost four weeks have passed since I said good-bye
to my
beloved friend... I
read Laurie's book cover to cover and it became the foundational tool
that I used to move
forward with
Kerrie. I... put Kerrie on a
natural diet much like the one that Laurie outlines in her book as
Bullet's Cancer
Diet, and supplements to fight cancer growth and
boost Kerrie's
immune
system.
Kerrie
survived 5 months and 1
week from
diagnosis. This was high-quality time because
I took Laurie's book to heart and took advantage of every suggestion
she made that was pertinent to Kerrie's diagnosis... I
hope that you will send this
message
to Laurie, to whom I owe a debt of gratitude. She has done a great
service to
more people than she will ever know. Of this I am completely certain.
With
the
very warmest regards and my deepest gratitude,
Suzanne
Daycock
Your
book is
a
godsend - thank you for sharing Bullet's story and your experiences
with all of us cancer-dog parents. I've never agonized over any
decision in my life the way I did about whether or not to try chemo!
You have used your
difficult experience in a way that helps so many dogs and their people!
Thank you so much.

I
received
your book yesterday, read through it at lunch and
am going through it again today, slowly this time. You provide so much
information - THANK YOU!!!!
I
am going to give this book to my
vet and order another one for myself. Thank you so
much for writing this book!

Your
book was my savior, my
inspiration while battling
cancer with Maxim. Anybody
fighting cancer with their pet should
have Help
Your Dog Fight Cancer as a reference.
Maxim
was only
11 months when we
found the cancer. I was devastated
and did not know what to do but then found your book. It became clear
by reading Bullet's
story that I had to fight this disease alongside Maxim.
Your
book was
always close by
throughout this difficult period. I referred to
it
everytime a new symptom arose or just to give me strength when things
were not looking good. I
have tabs
and highlights on certain pages. I used your recipe for Bullet's Cancer
Diet. Thank you for
writing this
book and for
sharing Bullet's story.
Hugs
from

Your book is fabulous. I would
recommend it to anyone
for any reason, not just because thier dog has cancer. There is a
wonderful story in there of the love & care you gave Bullet. You
two had an amazing relationship that is worth reading about. I'm so
glad you shared it.
While
we
had intended to try chemo with Toosox
(primarily because of your book!) her reaction to the
prednisone really turned us against any treatment. She always was very
sensitive to any drugs. We felt that ultimately the chemo
would be too much for her. Your information gave us the knowledge to
make the decisions we had to make. Even though I did lose Toosox, your
book gave me the courage to try to save her. Kim

I
extend
my most sincere thanks for how much your book and Bullet’s story has
touched and helped me with my dog Kobi’s ongoing battle with lymphoma.
Thanks
to your book and all the tips inside, Kobi is on the road to
recovery! He’s actually
healthier than before being diagnosed – despite being on the
dreaded
chemo.
I
can’t
thank you enough, Laurie & Bullet, for what you
have done for us. I know how much you miss your boy, but I know he is
proud of you for what you’re doing. You are a brave and generous soul.
God Bless.

A
long
over due
book with
information for dog Moms and Dads.
This
book is
filled with easy to read information that can be
understood by everyone. The author writes with compassion and
understanding for those people who have dogs with cancer. Laurie Kaplan
has written a book that gives readers a sense of hope that there is
something that they can do to help to make their dogs live longer with
a good quality of life. I recommend this book to anyone who has a
dog with cancer.

My
5
year old Beagle was diagnosed with lymphoma. His name is Peanut and he
is a huge part of our family. I do not consider him a dog. He is my
"furry son." I bought the book "Help Your Dog Fight Cancer" from
Amazon.com. This is the most precious book in my life right now
and I can say that it is priceless. I wish I would have had the
knowledge I have now. I love the book and will keep it for as long as i
own these great pals we call dogs.

"We
are
starting treatment for our boy, Alex, a
beautiful 5-year-old
doberman who was diagnosed yesterday with lymphoma. He is
still very healthy, but after researching the disease and speaking with
our Vet, we were going to put him to sleep.
Then
I read
Bullet's story and have renewed hope. My wife says that two
lives have been given a second chance, Alex's and hers, as their lives
are of each other. We pray his treatment will be as
successful as Bullet's."

love,

Thank
you for
allowing me to help Nikita maintain the grace
and lightness
she possessed in her healthy days until the very end.
I
began reading your book as a skeptic. It
was loaned to me by Nikita's oncology vet, but I had seen and
read so much information on canine cancer that I thought your book
would
only corroborate what I already knew. I was now in need of something
more and your
book provided
that "something more." "Help Your Dog Fight
Cancer" was the most honest account of what I
was to face of any source I found. Your book
has a "human
element" that is priceless.
Thank
you for sharing, that so Nikita
could have a better, stronger caretaker. Your book was a vital
emotional
lifeline for us.

Gratitude, Lisa

Thank
you for
sharing your
story and writing the book for other people to benefit from. We were
devastated 9 months ago when we found out that Jake, our
6-year-old Golden Ret., had lymphoma. I ordered your book right away
and started reading and educating
myself. Your book brought much help and comfort to our situation. I
made Jake's food based on your recipe and was always referring
back to it for information on possible side effects and so on. It was a
huge help to us.
I'm
sad to say that Jake
passed away last week, one week after his 7th birthday, of kidney
failure due to a high calcium level. He was an incredibly special dog
that will always be in our hearts. I truly give God all the honor and
glory for each day that he was in our lives, but I also want to thank
you for your book and for your dedication.

We
bought this book
when
we found out our Bogart had cancer. It is full
of information and gives you hope. And when you learn your dog has
cancer that is the first thing you need to cling to because without it,
your dog is lost. This book was our cancer Bible during Bogart's fight
and we returned to it often to help us get to the next day. Bogart is
gone now, gone over the Rainbow Bridge, beaten by the awful cancer but
if your beloved pooch has cancer I urge you to get this book. It was
the most helpful of the numerous we purchased when we got the
devastating news.

I
just wanted you
to know that your book
helped me immensely when I first learned of my dog Molly’s
cancer. Even though you dealt with a different kind of cancer
than me, your book helped me come to grips with my feelings of
guilt and dismay. Everything that I had been feeling – you
addressed. Molly’s has had radiation and is currently on the vaccine
from the Univ of Wisconsin. Her prognosis is not good but she is
fighting the good fight. As long as her quality of life is good –
she will be with me. Not one
person
at any vet has answered my questions like your book did. Thank you!

I
want
you to know
how very much your and Bully's story meant to me. During
Scrunch's battle with
cancer I
purchased your book. It truly gave me hope and comfort. I carried that
book4
with me to and from work. Though I was not doing chemo with Scrunch, it
was a comfort to know I had a "tool" of sorts and helped me activly
participate in her treatment when I couldn't be with her.
Scrunch
had the attitude of "Yeah...right...make me," and I had to chuckle when
you wrote about the one and only time Bully came to you when you called
him at the shelter. Still makes me chuckle! I want
to you to know how much your book helped me and
Scrunch.
MelissaThe
most precious help when you
most need it, This is a "must have" for all dog owners!
I
found out about Laurie's personal fight and her book on the
internet. I was desperate looking for information to help my boy
friend's daughter, Sara, and her GSD, Alf, diagnosed Lymphoma
at 8 years old. There is lot of information on the net, but
when we
desperately need accurate information, there is none.
Our
Alf is gone,
now at Rainbow Bridge. The Lymphoma was very aggressive and
I live in a country were chemotherapy for animals is a laugh... even
so, I read the book and strongly recommend it to
all the persons who are trying to give their dogs a chance.
This
book is
the most precious thing you'll have to help your dog... The book is
easy read, full of examples, gives you information about
several treatments and ways to approach the disease, so that you may
decide what is best for your dog; and best of all, it teaches you how
to make life easier for your pet and how to help him fighting
cancer. To all of you and your dogs, I wish all the best!
